Competition Policy

Another important consideration for foreign investors looking to establish a business activity in Canada is the competition policy.Canada's Competition Act applies to both Canadians and foreign investors.

The Competition Act falls under federal jurisdiction, and it is enforced and administered by the Competition Bureau. The Competition Tribunal is a specialized court that decides all applications of the non-criminal provisions outlined in parts VII.1 and VIII of the Competition Act.
