We are friendly people and very supportive of newcomers. Alberta provides a lot of programs to help new immigrants start a new life. Our province is multicultural and has a number of established cultural and ethnic groups. They provide support and assistance to newcomers and make them feel welcomed and at home.

Spirit of Alberta: Alberta’s cultural policy

Albertans are proud of their province and are famous for their generosity and friendliness. The Government of Alberta is also proud of our province's unique and vibrant culture, and want to see it continue to grow and flourish. To achieve this, a cultural policy entitled The Spirit of Alberta has been developed. The Spirit of Alberta supports the growth and development of an environment where culture can flourish and cultural expressions and distinctiveness are celebrated.

We are inviting you to come and live in Alberta and to experience all that Alberta and Albertans have to offer you.
